Getting Started

Is DakPariksha free to use?

Core features — registration, study material, and a selection of mock tests — are free. Premium unlocks additional mock tests and study material for your target exam. See the Premium page for current plans and pricing.

Do I need to verify my employment with India Post to register?

No. Registration is open to anyone preparing for India Post departmental exams. Your designation and target exam are self-reported, and are used only to personalize your dashboard and recommendations.

How do I choose which exam to prepare for?

Set your target exam from your dashboard at any time. It determines which mock tests, syllabus topics, and recommendations you see, and you can change it whenever your goals change.

Mock Tests

How is negative marking calculated?

Each mock test defines its own negative-marking ratio, shown before you start the attempt. Marks are deducted only for incorrect answers — skipped questions are never penalized.

How is my score percentage calculated?

Against the total achievable marks for that specific test — the sum of every question's mark value — not a fixed number. This keeps your percentage accurate even if a test's questions are later revised.

Can I attempt a test more than once?

Yes. Every attempt is recorded separately in your test history. Your dashboard shows your best score, average score, and a trend across your most recent attempts.

How are leaderboard rankings determined?

Each mock test has its own leaderboard, ranked by score among everyone who has attempted that specific test — not a single platform-wide ranking.

Account & Billing

What does Premium include?

Access to mock tests and study material marked Premium for your target exam, on top of everything already available on the free tier. Current plans and pricing are shown on the Premium page.

How are payments processed?

Through Razorpay on the web, and Google Play Billing in our Android app. We never store your card or bank details directly.

Can I use one account across web and mobile?

Yes. Your account, progress, and subscription status are the same whether you're on dakpariksha.in or the Android app.

Content & Syllabus

What's the difference between Study Material, Previous Papers, and the Syllabus page?

Study Material and Previous Papers are downloadable PDFs. The Syllabus page is a structured, topic-by-topic breakdown of what's covered for your target exam, with a checklist to track what you've studied.

Why does my syllabus include topics from a lower exam tier?

Promotion exams build on each other. If you're preparing for MTS to Postman, your syllabus automatically includes GDS to MTS topics too, since that material is still examinable at the next tier.

Who writes the study material and mock tests?

Registered contributors submit content, which our admin team reviews before publishing. We don't guarantee every detail matches the latest official notification — always cross-check anything exam-critical against Department of Posts sources.

Technical Support

I didn't receive my verification email — what do I do?

Check your spam folder first. If it's still missing after a few minutes, use the resend-verification option on the login page, and make sure you're checking the same address you registered with.

I found an error in a question or study material — how do I report it?

Use the Contact page, or flag it directly from the discussion thread on that question if one's available. Reports go to our admin team for review.
