What does the promotion ladder on my dashboard mean?

The promotion ladder on your dashboard shows the full chain of India Post grades — GDS, MTS, Postman, Mail Guard, PA/SA, IP, and ASP — with your current position highlighted based on the designation in your profile.

It's meant to give you a quick sense of where you are in your career progression, separate from which specific exam you're currently studying for (that's your target exam setting).

To update the designation the ladder is based on, go to your Profile page.
